RUSTON, La. (AP) — Alex Hamilton scored 17 points and Xavian Stapleton added 16 more to lead Louisiana Tech to a 74-52 win over Southern Arkansas on Monday night.

Raheem Appleby contributed 12 points and Michale Kyser had 10 points and nine rebounds for Tech (9-4), which shot 43.9 percent from the floor to extend its home court win streak to 20. Kenneth Smith dished out 11 assists.

Louisiana Tech took control early in the opening half with an 18-4 run launched by a 3-pointer from Stapleton and capped by a pair of 3s from Jacobi Boykins that made it 24-11 with 12:17 left before the break. The Bulldogs took a 38-28 advantage into the locker room and continued to pull away in the second half.

Southern Arkansas, an NCAA Division II team, was led by Jaron Davis, who scored 18 points — including five 3-pointers — on 6-for-9 shooting.
