FRESNO, Calif. (AP) — Darnell Taylor scored 16 points and Paul Watson pumped in 14 more to lead Fresno State to a 93-62 win over Saint Katherine on Sunday.
Karachi Edo contributed 12 points and nine rebounds, while Marvelle Harris had 10 points and 10 assists for Fresno State (5-8), which shot 58.5 percent from the floor.
Saint Katherine, which plays in the small Pacific Coast Athletic Conference, opened with a 10-4 run that included a 3-pointer from Malik Robinson to take its only lead of the game.
Fresno State then broke away midway through the first half with an 18-2 run sparked by Emmanuel Owootoah's three-point play to make it 43-21, and continued to pull away the rest of the game. The Bulldogs finished with a 42-24 rebounding advantage and 28 points off turnovers.
Dante Miller led Saint Katherine with 19 points, including five 3-pointers.
