NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Colts wide receiver Reggie Wayne hurt a groin muscle at the end of an 80-yard catch, and he had company Sunday as injuries piled up for Indianapolis.
Center A.Q. Shipley was carted off the sideline after hurting an ankle late in the second quarter, safety Sergio Brown hurt a hand and guard Hugh Thornton hurt a shoulder in the second half and never returned.
Wayne stayed on the ground a couple of minutes while fans chanted "Reggie, Reggie" after an 80-yard completion where he was tackled at the Titans 1. He never returned as the Colts finished off a 27-10 win over Tennessee. Colts coach Chuck Pagano said he thought Wayne ran out of energy on that long play.
"They'll all be evaluated obviously (Monday), and we'll know more in the coming days," Pagano said.
Titans wide receiver Kendall Wright limped to the sideline with an injured knee. He returned and caught a 6-yard touchdown pass. Titans defensive tackle Sammie Hill hurt a hamstring in the third quarter and didn't return. Titans quarterback Charlie Whitehurst hurt a shoulder late when sacked, and Jordan Palmer finished the game for Tennessee.
