CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) — North Carolina says receiver Quinshad Davis will miss spring practice after breaking his leg during the Quick Lane Bowl.

School officials said Saturday night that Davis underwent surgery earlier that day at UNC Hospitals to repair his broken right tibia.

They say they expect him to fully recover and be available when camp begins next summer.

Davis had 41 catches for 470 yards and six touchdown receptions as a junior for the Tar Heels (6-7). He has 21 touchdown catches for his career and shares the school record with Hakeem Nicks.
