A new year looming ahead means a New Year's resolution for many Americans. For several people, that includes getting back in shape and eating healthy. Blendtec has the tips that will prepare you to stick with your resolution.

How do you prep for your New Year's resolution?
o Have a plan, define the goal and what success looks like. Without a plan, success is unattainable.
o Have a specific overall goal, specific meal plan and an exercise plan.
o You can achieve a better workout if you eat better.
Summary: If you have a plan with specific benchmarks, you will have small victories along the way and will know what your next step will be.
Don'ts
o Stay away from juices - fruit juice has as much calories as soda, and sugar. And there is no fiber.
o Go more than 4-5 hours without eating. We turn Ravenous!
Do's
o Goal is to have a balanced diet. Moderation in all things.
o Start off your day with a good balanced meal. It will keep you full and give you sustained energy.
o Instead of juice, throw in an apple into the blender. Get all the fiber and other phytonutrients
o Best form of liquid is low in calories and added sugar - water, nut milks, cow milk
