UNDATED (AP) — The NBA has a present for sports fans craving live action on this Christmas Day. There are five NBA games slated for today, starting with the Washington Wizards trying to end their two-game losing streak against the woeful New York Knicks, who are sporting a 5-25 record in coach Derek Fisher's first season and 17-1/2 games behind the Atlantic Division-leading Toronto Raptors.

SAN ANTONIO (AP) — The defending NBA champion San Antonio Spurs are home against the Oklahoma City Thunder in today's second game. Oklahoma City has played its last three games without NBA MVP Kevin Durant, who has a sprained right ankle.

MIAMI (AP) — LeBron James returns to face the Miami Heat, the team that turned him from a superstar to a two-time NBA champion superstar, in today's third game. James and the Cleveland Cavaliers are preparing for what will certainly be an emotional Christmas visit against a Heat team that is 13-16 in their first season without James.

CHICAGO (AP) — The Los Angeles Lakers are having a down season but they enter tonight's game in Chicago against the Bulls on a high note. The Lakers knocked off the Golden State Warriors 115-105 Tuesday night, handing the Warriors just their fourth loss in 27 games, even as Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant sat out to rest some sore legs.

OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) — Coach Steve Kerr's Golden State Warriors try to get back on track in the finale of today's NBA five-pack. The Warriors are back home against the L.A. Clippers, who are five games back of the Warriors in the hot Pacific Division race.
