La Salle remains prefect on the road; 83-74 over Hofstra

HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. (AP) — Jordan Price scored 28 points, on 10-of-17 shooting, to help La Salle stay undefeated on the road in an 83-74 win over Hofstra on Tuesday.

Price made five 3-pointers to give La Salle its fourth win away from home.

Cleon Roberts had 18 for La Salle (7-5) and Jerrell Wright added 13 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Steve Zack had eight points and 11 boards.

Roberts started in place of D.J. Peterson who is out with an ankle injury.

Ameen Tanksley led Hofstra (7-4) with 23 points on 10-of-16 shooting. Juan'ya Green had 15 points and 11 rebounds.

Tanksley's 3-pointer pulled Hofstra within 50-49, but Wright scored the six of his 11 second-half points on La Salle's next three possessions for a 57-49 lead.

The Explorers held a 44-28 advantage for points in the paint.
