South Florida beats undermanned SE Louisiana 78-63

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — Corey Allen Jr. scored 19 points to help South Florida beat undermanned Southeastern Louisiana 78-63 on Tuesday.

Nehemias Morillo and Anthony Collins had 12 points apiece for South Florida (6-6) and Chris Perry added 10.

Dre Clayton's 3-pointer sparked South Florida's 11-3 run to build its lead to 65-50 with 7:03 left.

Joshua Filmore and Onochie Ochie scored 16 points each for SE Louisiana (3-10). Cedric Jenkins added 15 points, including four of SE Louisiana's 10 3-pointers.

Filmore played his second complete game in less than 24 hours after SE Louisiana lost to Central Florida on Monday night.

SE Louisiana was playing without its leading scorer Zay Jackson for a second consecutive game because of injury.

In the first half, Troy Holston Jr. scored eight points during South Florida's 12-2 run for a 38-25 lead. SE Louisiana scored the final five points of the half to trail 38-30.
