FULLERTON, Calif. (AP) — Alex Harris scored a career-high 29 points, 25 in the second half, to lead Cal State Fullerton to an 82-77 win over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Monday night.
Josh Gentry added 14 points, Moses Morgan 11 and Steve McClellan had 10 points and 10 rebounds for the Titans (6-7).
John Jordan had 15 of his 22 points in the second half for the Islanders (4-7) with Bryce Douvier adding 19 off the bench to match his career high and Rashawn Thomas 11.
Fullerton closed the first half with an 8-0 run to take a 37-32 lead. Harris had a dunk with 12:32 left to make it 55-45 and the lead stayed in that range until the Islanders made a late charge.
Harris hit 9 of 10 free throws in the second half, including four in the final 67 seconds, as the Titans went 7 of 8 down the stretch.
