BOCA RATON, Fla. (AP) — Javier Lacunza drilled a 3-pointer with time winding down on the shot clock and Jackson Trapp followed with another 3 to give Florida Atlantic the lead for good in a 69-66 win over Eastern Kentucky Monday night.

Trapp's 3 gave the Owls a 68-62 lead with :27 left.

Eastern Kentucky (6-5), coming off a 28-point win over No. 18 Miami, got a dunk from Ja'Mill Powell and layup from Corey Walden to make it a two-point game. Trapp then missed a pair of free throws to leave the Colonels a chance to tie, but Walden missed a shot from just inside mid-court as time expired.

Trapp finished with 19 points and knocked down 6 of 10 shots from behind the arc to lead Florida Atlantic (6-4). Marquan Botley added 15 points and C.J. Turman 12.

Walden finished with 15 points for Eastern Kentucky, with Eric Stutz and Denzel Richardson each adding 13.
