EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) — New York Jets center Nick Mangold injured his left ankle in the second quarter against the New England Patriots on Sunday.

Mangold was hurt on a 14-yard run by Bilal Powell. Mangold was carted off the field surrounded by players of both teams.

He was replaced by Dalton Freeman. The Jets said he will not return to the game.

During the anthem, Mangold held a black NYPD cap over his heart in honor of two fallen NYPD officers. The officers were killed Saturday afternoon by a gunman who then shot himself.

The Jets also said wide receiver Percy Harvin left with a rib injury and would not return.
