CHICAGO (AP) — Jared Dimakos and Anthony Glover each scored 14 points as Chicago State beat Division II St. Joseph's College of Indiana 76-54, snapping an eight-game losing skid on Saturday.
The Cougars led 23-22 at the end of the opening half, shooting just 25.8 percent overall, making one 3-pointer and 6 of 17 from the free-throw line. They improved after the break, however, shooting 53.1 percent from the floor (17 of 32), and 15 of 20 from the line to score 53 points in the second half.
Clarke Rosenberg added 11 points for Chicago State (3-10). Dimakos shot 4 of 5 from the floor and was a perfect 6 of 6 on free throws.
Dawson Gore led the Pumas with 11 points, the only St. Joseph's player to finish in double figures. Jordan Seele finished with a game-high 10 rebounds as the Pumas out-boarded Chicago State 44-39.
