LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) — Justin Drummond scored 17 points and was one of four Toledo starters in double figures as the Rockets beat McNeese State 83-69 on Saturday.

Julius Brown scored 15 points, J.D. Weatherspoon added 12, and Nathan Boothe chipped in 10 to lead Toledo (7-4) to its fifth-straight win.

McNeese State's Marcus Mathieu hit a jumper with 7:42 left before the break to bring the Cowboys within one point, 26-25. Toledo answered with a 21-5 run — which included five 3-pointers — to end the first half.

The Cowboys (5-4) closed within five points with 12:23 left in the second, but went the next 2:45 without a basket, allowing the Rockets back into a double-digit lead that they did not give up.
