BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — Center Mikhail Grigorenko is back with the Buffalo Sabres for the second time in a week after being recalled from the minors.
Grigorenko was called up from AHL Rochester on Saturday before the Sabres' home game against the Colorado Avalanche.
The 2012 first-round draft pick was called up Monday and played in Buffalo's 5-1 loss at Winnipeg the following day. Grigorenko was then returned to Rochester following the game, in which he had one shot and logged just under 17 minutes of ice time.
It was Grigorenko's first NHL game since Nov. 27, 2013.
The Sabres have a need at forward with Cody McCormick and Torrey Mitchell both nursing lower-body injuries.
