LYNCHBURG, Va. (AP) — James Johnson was 9 of 10 for 20 points on Friday night and Liberty beat Central Pennsylvania College 94-65.

The Flames (5-6) ended the first half on a 17-4 run for a 51-35 lead at the break. Liberty added to its advantage in the second half with a 23-9 stretch.

Peter Moller added 14 points, A.C. Reid scored 11 and Andrew Smith 10. Liberty finished 38 of 62 from the field (61.3 percent) with 7 of 17 from beyond the arc.

Devon Dorsey led the Knights with 16 points and eight rebounds. Andre Batte added 13, Rahamon Scott scored 12 and Tyree Tucker 10.

Shaki Stanten's jumper late in the first pulled Central Penn within 34-31, but Reid made a 3 to spark Liberty's late run and the Knights would get no closer.
