WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (AP) — Daniel Dixon scored 11 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead William & Mary to an 86-46 rout of Division III Washington College on Friday night.

Marcus Thornton scored 20 points and Terry Tarpey chipped in 15 with six blocks for William & Mary, which shot 30 of 56 for 53.6 percent from the field. Sean Sheldon and Omar Prewitt each added eight points and four assists for the Tribe (6-3), who outrebounded Washington 50-31.

Thornton scored 10 points as the Tribe closed the first half on a 28-6 run to build a 46-16 halftime lead. Thornton finished on 5-of-10 shooting from the field, including four 3-pointers.

James Drury and John Weston each scored nine points to lead Washington. Sean Flanigan dished out four assists and Dave Knox had five points and six steals for the Shoremen.
