WASHINGTON (AP) — Speaker John Boehner has invited President Barack Obama to deliver the State of the Union speech on Tuesday, Jan. 20.
The House Republican leader sent a letter to Obama on Friday formally inviting him to deliver the prime-time speech.
Obama will face an all-Republican Congress next month as the GOP takes charge of both the House and Senate for the final two years of the presidency.
