RENO, Nev. (AP) — Reno police have arrested a 19-year-old suspect in a series of shootings around town, including one earlier this month on the University of Nevada campus. Investigators say Bradley Lujan is suspected of firing a shot outside the Sigma Nu fraternity and also in an area near Reno High School.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Mexican airline Volaris says it's twice a week flights linking Las Vegas and Cancun, Mexico have begun. Flights are scheduled on Thursday and Sundays. It's the only flight linking Las Vegas with the tropical destination and the airline's first international flight from Cancun.

CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — Authorities say a 73-year-old convicted murderer died at a Carson City prison hospital. Nevada Department of Corrections Officials said Gary Blevins died Dec. 11 at the Regional Medical Facility at the Northern Nevada Correctional Center. He had been in prison since December 1990.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Gov. Brian Sandoval and top education officials will announce the 2015 Nevada Teacher of the Year in Las Vegas today. State superintendent Dale Erquiaga (ER'-kee-AH'-guh) and Clark County schools superintendent Pat Skorkowsky will also be on hand today at Spring Valley High School.
