Rider tops Morgan State 62-48

LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. (AP) — Teddy Okereafor scored 21 points and Rider topped Morgan State 62-48 on Thursday night.

Rider (6-6) scored the first seven points of the game but Morgan State came back to tie at 24 on Blake Bozeman's jumper. A 3-pointer and layup by Okereafor gave Rider a 29-27 lead at intermission.

The Broncs used a 13-1 run at the start of the second half to push the lead to 42-28. Morgan State got it to five after 3-pointers by Bozeman and Cedric Blossom, but Rider responded with a 7-1 spurt and held off the Bears down the stretch.

Jimmie Taylor had 13 points for Rider and Matt Lopez added 12 points and 12 rebounds.

Morgan State (2-9) was led by Blossom's 21 points. Bozeman finished with 11 points as the Bears shot 33 percent from the floor, including 4 of 14 on 3-pointers.
