NEWARK, Del. (AP) — Jesse Morgan scored 16 points and Devin Coleman had nine as the Philadelphia natives made an immediate impact in their first games for Temple on Thursday night, an 82-62 win over Delaware.

Morgan, a senior who transferred from UMass and has one semester of eligibility, matched Quenton DeCosey's team-high 16 points for the Owls (7-4). Morgan had four 3-pointers and Coleman, a junior transfer from Clemson, had three 3s. Will Cummings had 11 points and a career-high 10 assists.

Kyle Anderson had 20 points and Maurice Jeffers had 11 and 12 rebounds for the Blue Hens (0-8).

Temple, which led 37-21 at the half, made 14 of 38 shots from inside the 3-point circle but went 16 of 33 behind the arc. DeCosey also had three 3s and led the Owls, who outrebounded Delaware 42-32, with seven boards.

Delaware had 14 turnovers that translated to 23 Temple points.
