EASTON, Pa. (AP) — Dan Trist and Bryce Scott each scored 16 points and Lafayette played everyone on its bench while cruising to a 91-66 defeat of Division III Susquehanna on Tuesday night.
Lafayette (7-2) played all 15 Leopards, enjoying a 42-19 edge in points off the bench. Seth Hinrichs scored 14, Joey Ptasinski 10, and Matt Klinewski scored nine with 11 rebounds.
Susquehanna's last D I opponent was also Lafayette, losing 95-73 in December 2010. Brandon Hedley led the Crusaders (6-3) with 19 points, Matt McGugan added nine.
The Leopards shot 55 percent in the first half, jumping ahead 58-34, and finished at 45.6 percent from the field for the game. Lafayette outrebounded Susquehanna 53-32 — the first time the Leopards have grabbed more than 50 boards in a game since 2005 (52 against Dickinson).
Susquehanna made 14 turnovers to Lafayette's 12, but was outscored 22-9 on points off turnovers.
