SALT LAKE CITY — All it took was one tweet for a scenery war to start on the Web. The social media feed from the Salt Lake International Airport tweeted a picture of a sunrise and added, "Not many airports can compete with a view like ours at #SLC International!"
McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas and two airports in Chicago sent out their own pictures promoting the local view.
The Airports Council tweeted a challenge with the hashtag #AirportThrowdown and soon airports around the world added views from their runways.
