CLEVELAND (AP) — Trey Lewis made 9 of 11 3-pointers and scored a career-high 32 points to lead Cleveland State past NAIA Mount Vernon Nazarene 86-40 on Monday night.

The nine 3-pointers were also a career-high for Lewis, who finished 10 of 14 from the field and added five assists. Anton Grady scored 18 points, on 8-of-12 shooting, and grabbed seven rebounds for Cleveland State (5-5).

The game served as an exhibition for Mount Vernon Nazarene, which committed 20 first-half turnovers and went into the break trailing 43-16.

Grady scored eight points and Lewis hit the first of his 3's during a 15-2 run to start the game.

Bryan Redic hit a pair of free throws to cut the Mount Vernon Nazarene deficit to single digits, 17-8, midway through the half. Lewis hit four 3-pointers during the ensuing 24-5 spurt by Cleveland State.

Martell Medley led the Cougars with 10 points.
