LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission is offering two free workshops for educators that will focus on birds.
The Project WILD workshops are scheduled for January. Participants will learn about Nebraska's bird species and how to use birds and bird watching to engage students in science, nature and the outdoors.
Participants will receive a curriculum guide and other bird-related resources for use in classrooms or programs.
The first workshop is set for Jan. 17, from 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m., at Pioneers Park Nature Center in Lincoln. The second is scheduled for Jan. 24, from 9 a.m. to noon, at the Wildcat Hills Nature Center in Gering.
