SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — More rain is in the forecast for California, but the two water-bearing fronts approaching the region aren't packing the wallop delivered by a major storm last week.
The National Weather Service forecasts a storm dropping between an inch and two inches of rain Sunday night through Monday morning in the San Francisco Bay and Sacramento regions. The Sierra Nevada is expected to receive a dusting of a few inches at elevation above about 5,000 feet, a height that includes most ski resorts.
A second front is also making its way to the Bay Area and forecasters expect more rain on Wednesday. Both storms are expected to drop less rain on Southern California a day after drenching the Bay Area.
A powerful storm last week caused flooding and power outages throughout the state.
