PHILADELPHIA (AP) — There is a big NFC East matchup tonight as the Eagles are home to the Cowboys. The teams are tied for the lead in the division with records of 9-4. This is their second meeting of the season. The Eagles won the first encounter, 33-10 on Nov. 27.

CLEVELAND (AP) — Johnny Manziel (man-ZEHL') is making his debut as a starting NFL quarterback today. Manziel's Browns are playing host to long-time rival Cincinnati. In his first possession as the starting QB the Browns went three and out.

UNDATED (AP) — The hottest team in sports these days is Golden State as the Warriors have won 15 straight. The Steve Kerr-coached team is in New Orleans today, looking for its 21st win of the season against just two defeats.

PITTSBURGH (AP) — Sidney Crosby of the Penguins is the latest NHL player to come down with the mumps. The league is dealing with a widespread outbreak of the virus, with players from Anaheim, Minnesota, the Rangers and Devils among those affected. Crosby has missed two games so far and won't play tomorrow night against Tampa Bay.

UNDATED (AP) — There are just three games on the NHL schedule today. In the earliest start the Maple Leafs are playing host to the league champion Kings. Toronto enters the game with a four-game winning streak. The rest of the schedule has Chicago home to Calgary and the Rangers at Edmonton.
