DAVOS, Switzerland (AP) — Norway swept men's and women's podiums Sunday as Finn Haagen Krogh and Ingvild Flugstad Oestberg won sprint races in the cross-country skiing World Cup.
Krogh covered the 1.3-kilometer course in 2 minutes 18.16 seconds, 0.62 faster than Anders Gloeersen. Third-placed Eirik Brandsdal trailed Krogh by 1.07.
His first World Cup victory this season closed the gap in overall standings to teammate Martin Johnsrud Sundby, who won Saturday's 15-kilometer classic race.
Oestberg's first victory left her third in the overall standings led by fellow Norwegian Marit Bjoergen.
Oestberg timed 2 minutes 33.72 seconds, edging Maiken Caspersen Falla by 0.57. Celine Brun-Lie was third, trailing the winner by 2.37.
The World Cup circuit stays in Davos next weekend for replacement races due to a lack of snow at La Clusaz, France.
