ASHWAUBENON, Wis. (AP) — Keifer Sykes scored 23 points, including 5 of 7 from 3-point range, and added four steals to lead Green Bay to a 64-48 victory over Drake on Saturday evening.
Jordan Fouse added 13 points and eight rebounds for the Phoenix (7-2), and Carrington Love finished with 12 points and seven assists.
Green Bay's defense was strong much of the night, holding Drake to 41 percent shooting from the field while forcing 19 total turnovers. The Phoenix also won the rebounding battle 30-20.
Green Bay held a 37-20 lead at halftime, largely on the strength of a 12-0 run midway through the half. Drake would not cut the lead back below double digits the rest of the night.
Chris Caird and Jacob Enevold Jensen each scored nine points to lead Drake (1-8).
