KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Tennessee coach Donnie Tyndall says sophomore forward Dominic Woodson has left the Volunteers and plans to transfer to another university.

Tyndall announced Woodson's move Friday.

Woodson played in four games for the Volunteers this season averaging 3.5 points and 2.0 rebounds in 12 minutes per game. He transferred to Tennessee this summer after leaving Memphis.

The 6-foot-10 sophomore thanked Tyndall in a statement but says he wants to move to a school that is a better fit for him and where he can play a bigger role.
