Wright State tops Belmont 79-71

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — JT Yoho scored 16 points, including a late 3-pointer, to lead Wright State over Belmont 79-71 on Thursday.

Wright State (6-4) tied the game at 46 just under 5 minutes into the second half and used a 13-3 run later — punctuated by Yoho's 3-pointer with 1:24 left — to take a five-point lead. Belmont missed three 3-pointers in the last 34 seconds.

Belmont (7-3) jumped out to a 24-16 lead midway through the first after a Spencer Turner 3-pointer but Wright State made three 3-pointers in the last 1:47 of the half to bring its deficit to four at intermission.

Yoho made three 3-pointers and had six rebounds and five assists. Michael Karena had 12 points on 6-of-7 shooting and Grant Benzinger added 11 points for the Raiders.

Belmont was led by Turner's 23 points. Reece Chamberlain had 18 points, seven boards, seven assists and three steals.
