MERIDIAN, Idaho (AP) — Three people have been transported to the hospital after a nine-vehicle pileup involving a tractor-trailer on Interstate 84 in southwest Idaho. Idaho State Police say the crash occurred in the westbound lanes near Meridian this morning. Police say two of the three injured sustained serious injuries, but they aren't considered life-threatening.

MOSCOW, Idaho (AP) — A northern Idaho couple accused of neglecting a 67-year-old man who later died will be tried separately. The Lewiston Tribune reports the judge agreed with prosecutors to have separate trials for 24-year-old Charles Wright and 21-year-old Lindsey Winter in the death of Lee Pohrman. The cause of his death was listed as malnutrition and starvation.

JACKSON, Wyo. (AP) — The National Park Service has changed its rules to say wildlife on private land within Grand Teton National Park is under jurisdiction of the state of Wyoming and can be hunted. For decades wildlife on about 950 acres of private land within park boundaries was subject to federal rules, which meant that all hunting with the exception of elk was prohibited.
