LAS VEGAS (AP) — A 29-year-old Las Vegas woman arrested more than a week after a fatal hit-and-run crash has been freed on bail pending an initial court appearance.
Police Officer Jose Hernandez said Wednesday that Galina Kilova posted $20,000 bail late Tuesday and was released from the Clark County jail.
Hernandez says Kilova has a Feb. 17 court date.
Kilova faces a felony hit-and-run charge following her arrest Tuesday after surrendering with her lawyer, Herb Sachs, at a police substation.
She's accused of driving a gray Honda Civic that struck and killed 63-year-old Michael Grubbs on Nov. 24 while he walked on the shoulder of Rainbow Boulevard, pushing his 1-year-old granddaughter in a stroller.
The child was treated for minor injuries and released.
Kilova's delay in surrendering for questioning angered Grubbs family members.
