MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) — Authorities in West Virginia say they'll continue to process multiple crime scenes Tuesday where four people were killed by a gunman who then took his own life. Jody Lee Hunt, a tow truck company owner, was found dead in a wooded area Monday. Police say just last month, one victim filed a domestic violence case against Hunt.

ATLANTA (AP) — Speaking at the Atlanta Church where the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. preached, Attorney General Eric Holder has announced he'll soon unveil Justice Department guidance aimed at thwarting racial profiling. Holder says the aim is to end racial profiling "once and for all." In Washington, the White House says it wants more officers to wear body cameras.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — A Pacific storm system is expected to generate widespread rain in California that forecasters say could unleash mudflows. Storm watches are posted for a large swath of the Sierra Nevada. The state is facing a severe drought. Back-to-back storms are helping some cities in northwest California reach normal rainfall amounts for the year.

SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — South Korea says it has approved a Christian group's plan to set up and illuminate a large Christmas tree near the border with North Korea. That's expected to provoke fury from Pyongyang.

NEW YORK (AP) — Wal-Mart, Amazon, Gap and Banana Republic are among the many retailers who have offered discounts to promote Cyber Monday sales. Some merchants are throwing in free shipping. Early reports indicate shopping was less robust online Monday compared with prior years. Preliminary sales numbers from IBM Digital Analytics found that online sales were up 8.1 percent at 6 p.m. Eastern compared with last year.
