DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — A former Ankeny High School teacher has been sentenced after pleading guilty to having sex with a 17-year-old student.
KCCI-TV reports (http://bit.ly/11miPly ) Mandy Davenport was sentenced Friday to two years of probation. She also will be listed on the state's sex offender registry.
Davenport pleaded guilty in September to sexual exploitation by a school employee and admitted to having sexual contact with a male student.
Davenport, a former language arts teacher at Ankeny Centennial High School, was charged in April in connection with an incident that occurred in January 2012 at Ankeny High.
