SALT LAKE CITY — To honor the dedication of current and former members of the military, companies throughout Utah are offering free meals, services and other deals for Veterans Day.
We have compiled a list of local deals below. Don’t hesitate to let us know of other offers in the comments section.
Food
Applebee’s invites veterans and active-duty military to have a free entree from this menu with proof of military service.
Black Bear Diner locations in West Jordan and Sandy are offering free Ham & Eggs for breakfast, or a full Fried Chicken Dinner for lunch and dinner, to all veterans in who are in uniform or have a military ID.
Denny’s is letting active, non-active and retired military to build their own grand slam for free from 5 a.m. to noon Tuesday.
California Pizza Kitchen is offering a free entree from a select menu featuring pizza, salad and pasta entrees to those who are in uniform, have a military ID or other proof of service.
Carrabba’s is giving free appetizers to veterans and military personnel Tuesday.
Chili’s is offering free entrees all Tuesday from a select menu.
Cracker Barrel is giving a complimentary Double Chocolate Fudge Coca-Cola Cake dessert to veterans Tuesday.
Famous Dave’s is thanking former and active military personnel with a free One Meat Salute that includes one meat, a corn muffin and a side from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Midvale, Layton and Jordan Landing locations.
Golden Corral is hosting a free “thank you” dinner veterans and current military personnel from 5-9 p.m. on Nov. 17.
HuHot Mongolian Grill in Sandy is offering half off a grill meal to any current or former military serviceman or woman.
IHOP is offering free Red, White and Blue pancakes from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m Tuesday to current and former military personnel. Proof of service is required.
Krispy Kreme is offering a free donut of any variety and a small coffee to all veterans and active-duty military personnel Tuesday.
Little Caesars is giving a free order of Crazy Bread to customers who come in uniform or who have a military ID Tuesday.
Olive Garden is offering free meals to veterans and active-duty military members Tuesday.
Orange Leaf is offering all retired and active-duty military personnel a free cup of froyo, up to 11 ounces. Customers need to bring proof of military service.
Outback Steakhouse is honoring heroes with a free Bloomin’ Onion and beverage on Tuesday. Military personnel with an ID card or other proof of service can receive 15 percent off their entire check from Nov. 12 through Dec. 31.
Perkins Restaurant and Bakery is thanking veterans and active military with a free Magnificent Seven meal with presentation of military ID or proof of service Tuesday.
Pizza Pie Cafe is giving free meals to veterans and active-duty service members Tuesday.
Red Lobster is thanking veterans, active duty and active serving military and reservists for their service with a no-purchase-necessary free appetizer offer valid from Monday through Thursday. A military ID or other proof of purchase is required.
Red Robin is offering free burgers to veterans and active-duty personnel Tuesday.
Ruby Tuesday is offering free appetizers for all veterans, active duty and reserve service members.
Rodizio Grill is saluting veterans by offering them a free full Rodizio meal with the purchase of another adult full Rodizio meal. The deal runs from Monday through Thursday.
Sizzler is serving vets and active-duty members of the military a free lunch on Tuesday. Until 4 p.m., guests with proof of military service may choose a free entrée of either a 6 oz Tri Tip Steak, a single Malibu Chicken or a half-dozen Fried Shrimp. Coffee, iced tea or a fountain drink is included.
Starbucks locations will offer a free tall brewed coffee to veterans, active duty servicemembers and military spouses Tuesday. In addition, Starbucks will contribute to Onward Veterans for every sale of the Starbucks Veterans Card.
Texas Roadhouse is saying “thank you” to active, former and retired military with a free lunch from their Veteran’s Day menu Tuesday. Proof of military service is required.
T.G.I. Friday's is offering free lunch to veterans and active military from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday.
Tucanos is offering free shrimp skewers through Tuesday to current and past servicemen and women who have a military ID. The restaurants are also giving out Veterans Cards through Tuesday. The cards can be used for a 25 percent discount on four separate Churrasco meals anytime during the year.
Village Inn is saluting veterans and current military personnel with a free breakfast Tuesday. Those with a military ID or proof of service can choose from three buttermilk pancakes, a Belgian waffle or three slices of French toast.
Other services
Great Clips is giving veterans who visit Great Clips on Tuesday either a free haircut that day or a free haircut card to redeem by Dec. 31. Any customer can also go into the salon on Tuesday and, with the purchase of a service, receive a free haircut card to give to a veteran.
Jiffy Lube is offering active and retired military free Signature Service Oil Changes, with up to five quarts of conventional oil, Tuesday.
Rocket Express Car Wash will be providing free Shoot The Moon Washes to all U.S. active duty military and their spouses, as well as veterans, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
Sport Clips Haircuts is offering free haircuts to anyone with an active or inactive military ID on Tuesday.
Supersonic Car Wash is offering a free "Exterior Plus" car wash to any current or retired member of the armed forces.
Wiggy Wash is offering free Ultimate Plus Washes to all veterans.
Shopping
Bed Bath and Beyond is offering 20 percent off entire in-store purchases made through Thursday by active duty or retired military personnel and military spouses who have military ID.
Cabela's is saying thank you to veterans and other service members by offering an extra 10% off everything in the store and an extra 5% on any in-stock firearms today.
Cost Plus World Market is offering 20 percent off entire in-store purchases made through Thursday by active duty or retired military personnel and military spouses who have military ID.
Jo-Ann Fabric will take 20 percent off military members’ or veterans’ purchases, in addition to purchases made by eligible family members, through Tuesday. Proof of military service or a military dependent ID is required.
Lowe’s is offering a 10 percent discount to those who are currently serving in the armed services and those who are retired, in addition to their immediate family members, through Wednesday. A valid military ID or proof of service is required.
Entertainment
Chuck E. Cheese’s is offering all veterans and active-duty military 20 free tokens through Nov. 15. Military ID or proof of service is required.
Hogle Zoo is saying “thank you” by offering free admission to all military personnel and veterans, as well as their spouses and children under the age of 18 (with valid military ID) Tuesday. The zoo also welcomes the families of fallen soldiers.
Living Planet Aquarium is offering free admission to veterans and their immediate families Tuesday.
National Parks are free for everyone Tuesday.
Water Gardens is offering free admission to veterans and their families for movies shown at their Holladay theater Tuesday. A military ID is required.
