Hi there! I've been all over your website (and others, including Weather Underground) trying to figure out what the average humidity levels in Salt Lake City are. I would like to find a report that lists the highs, lows, and averages per month over the last several years. I am looking at purchasing a new cooling system for my home and I am wondering if an evaporative cooler or central air will be more effective. This information would be extremely beneficial. Thank you! Tara T.

Indeed, I can see why you are looking for this info for your investment! Finding past weather information for some reason, can be really difficult, even being in this field I still have a hard time gathering data for everyone!

The links on the right show a couple of things. From the NWS we can find Average RH for Salt Lake by month and averages by time. For instance, here in June the average humidity is around 26% at 5 pm in the afternoon.

Also, on the weather underground site, if you want detailed hourly observations of humidity you can find it but you have to dig. First enter in your Zip code at the top, once you get to the forecast page, all you have to do is scroll down to the history and Almanac page if you are looking by date. Enter in the date you want and you will get past hourly data which includes humidity.

You said you wanted the high and low humidity and the average. By entering in the date you want on the weather underground page, you'll be taken to the hourly data, but at the top there's something called "MONTHLY". Click it and scroll down and you'll see the whole calendar month with high and low humidity for each day. A little hard to find but worth it!
