ATLANTA, Jun 21, 2006 (UPI via COMTEX) -- Artist Andrew Wyeth and his wife Betsy have given Atlanta's High Museum of Art a large watercolor study of "The Quaker."
The gift was in gratitude for the exhibition "Andrew Wyeth: Memory & Magic," which the museum hosted last fall, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.
"The Quaker" -- a 36-by-40-inch tempera rendering of two coats hanging on a rustic wall -- is owned by the museum's board chairman Terry Stent, who purchased it at auction in 2000 for $2.5 million, the newspaper said.
