SOUTH JORDAN — The two people killed in a South Jordan accident were identified Tuesday afternoon.

The accident occurred Monday at 12 p.m. at the Mountain View Corridor and Daybreak Parkway intersection, according to South Jordan City communications coordinator Tina Brown.

Eyewitnesses said the driver of a 2003 Mitsubishi Galant was headed west on Daybreak Parkway and “did not stop for the red signal,” Brown said. The Galant was hit by a semitruck driving southbound on the Mountain View Corridor.

Robynn Denamur, 23, from Herriman was identified as the driver of the Galant. She had to be extricated from the vehicle and was airlifted to an area hospital in extremely critical condition. Denamur later died as a result of injuries sustained in the accident.

Michael Teahon, 46, from Sandy was identified as the driver of the semitruck and he also had to be extricated from the vehicle. Teahon was also airlifted to an area hospital where he later died.

The investigation is still ongoing.
