SALT LAKE CITY — The cost of heating a home in Utah continues to drop.
Questar Gas on Monday asked the Public Service Commission of Utah to reduce natural gas rates by $9 million. If approved, the rate cut would lower the typical homeowner’s annual bill by $8 beginning Dec. 1.
“We had some system-enhancement costs this year, but when we combine them with lower conservation program costs, the end result is a decrease in our overall rates,” explained Craig Wagstaff, Questar Gas executive vice president and chief operating officer. “As a result, our rates continue to be among the lowest in the continental U.S.”
