DOVER, Del. (AP) — Jerrell Antoine threw for one touchdown and ran for another Saturday to lead Hampton to its first Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference win of the season, 23-0 over Delaware State.

Hampton (2-6, 1-3) outgained Delaware State in total yardage, 406-237, holding the Hornets to just 37 yards on the ground.

Jorrian Washington had 142 yards on 23 carries and Eric Carter Jr. added 113 yards on 10 carries, including a 4-yard touchdown run in the second quarter. Antoine finished 13 of 25 for 143 yards, including a 56-yard TD pass to Rashawn Proctor, a scoring run from the 3, and an interception. Anthony Prevost padded the win with a 43-yard field goal as the Pirates snagged their first shutout victory since 2009.

Gilbert Rivera was 15 of 25 for 127 yards passing and an interception for Delaware State (2-7, 2-3), and Milton Williams III had 78 yards on nine receptions.
