OREM — A man robbed the US Bank at 1220 S. State St. on Thursday afternoon.

The robber passed a note to the bank teller demanding money just before 3:30 p.m., according to Lt. Craig Martinez of the Orem Police Department.

The man then fled on foot, leaving through the north exit of the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police said the robber, described as a white, heavy-set man in his late 30s or early 40s, between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall, was wearing a gray mock turtleneck long-sleeved shirt with light blue jeans, a dark hat and sunglasses.

No one was injured, police said, and detectives are investigating leads. They released surveillance photos and asked anyone with information to call Orem police at 801-229-7070.
