(KSL News) Two men are in police custody this morning after trying to buy several items at a Salt Lake convenience store with counterfeit money.
Police say the two men handed the clerk at the Maverik store at 600 South 200 West a twenty dollar bill.
The clerk said it felt different and looked more gray than normal. So he called police, who arrived and arrested the two suspects.
The two had a total of seven counterfeit twenty dollar bills on them.
Police say these same two tried the same thing earlier this morning at another convenience store.
