RENO, Nev. (AP) — Police say they've arrested an 18-year-old Reno resident after a man was fatally stabbed in the back earlier this week in a Reno park.
Authorities announced Thursday morning that they'd arrested Jesus Lamas on suspicion of open murder.
Officers say 30-year-old resident Carl Goode died at Renown Regional Medical Center after a confrontation Tuesday evening in Mayors Park, off Stead Boulevard.
Witnesses told police they saw a scuffle in the park between the victim and several other people. They said they saw Goode lying on the ground when the fight ended, and called for help.
Goode was suffering several stab wounds and was taken to the hospital, but succumbed to his injuries.
