LAS VEGAS (AP) — The Nevada Department of Transportation says it could take two week and cost up to $2 million to repair new damage to a section of Interstate 15. One lane of the highway remains open in each direction near Mesquite, about 60 miles northeast of Las Vegas. Weekend flooding caused the latest damage.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Officials have announced the southern Nevada winner of a $4,500 memorial scholarship named after the late Gov. Kenny Guinn. University of Nevada, Las Vegas senior Tara Leigh Myl was named the winner during a ceremony today on campus. Myl is a 2010 graduate of Green Valley High School who is majoring in education with an emphasis in math and science.

CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — A Carson City woman is pleading guilty in a basketball ticket scheme that authorities say targeted professional athletes and sports agents. The Nevada Attorney General's office says 39-year-old Megan Klein sold what she claimed were season tickets to Miami Heat games and small ownership interests in the NBA team.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Authorities have identified a man who died and a woman who was critically injured after their motorcycle went off the road in Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. Clark County coroner's officials say 53-year-old Las Vegas resident Kirk Overby died in the Sunday night crash, while 57-year-old Gail Overby suffered life-threatening injuries.
