ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Dallas defensive end Anthony Spencer is active and likely to play for the first time in more than a year when the Cowboys face New Orleans on Sunday night.
Spencer played only one game last season and had career-threatening microfracture surgery on a left knee that gave him trouble throughout the offseason. He was inactive the first three games this year.
Linebackers Justin Durant and Rolando McClain were active for the Cowboys and in the starting lineup. Both had groin injuries, with Durant missing two games and McClain sitting last week at St. Louis.
Saints linebacker David Hawthorne was inactive for the second straight week with ankle and knee injuries. Backup cornerback Patrick Robinson (hamstring) also was out.
