HOUSTON (AP) — Omar Cummings and Boniek Garcia scored and the Houston Dynamo beat the Chicago Fire 2-0 on Sunday to remain alive in the Eastern Conference playoff race.
Houston (10-13-6) is eighth in the conference, with only the top five making the playoffs.
Cummings scored in the 15th minute, and Garcia connected in the 67th.
Chicago dropped to 5-8-16.
