INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Tennessee quarterback Jake Locker is inactive for Sunday's game because of a right wrist injury.

He will be replaced by Charlie Whitehurst, who will make his fifth career start, but hasn't thrown a pass since 2011.

The Titans (1-2) listed Locker questionable all week after getting hurt in last week's loss at Cincinnati.

Tennessee's other inactives are receiver Kris Durham, cornerback Brandon Harris, linebacker Akeem Ayers, offensive tackle Byron Stingily, tight end Taylor Thompson, and defensive end Ropati Pitoitua.

Indianapolis (1-2) deactivates center Khaled Holmes and guard Hugh Thornton, both starters. Linebackers Jerrell Freeman and Andy Studebaker, defensive tackle Arthur Jones, safety Colt Anderson, and receiver Da'Rick Rogers also are inactive.

Holmes will be replaced by A.Q. Shipley for the fourth consecutive week and Thornton will be replaced by Lance Louis.
