SANILURFA, Turkey (AP) — Witnesses say the bombs fell again today on Syrian oil facilities held by the Islamic State group. Today's target of an apparent U.S.-led coalition attack hit a refinery in a northern Syrian town near the border with Turkey.

WASHINGTON (AP) — An American doctor who was exposed to the Ebola virus while volunteering in Sierra Leone will be watched closely at the National Institutes of Health's hospital in suburban Washington, D.C. The NIH says the doctor is expected to be admitted to the special isolation unit as early as today out of an "abundance of caution."

FERGUSON, Mo. (AP) — Police in Ferguson, Missouri say two men opened fire at a police officer during a foot chase and wounded him in the arm. Officials say the officer encountered the two men at a closed community center. The suspects are being sought. Ferguson is the St. Louis suburb that's been the scene of racial unrest in the wake of the shooting death of an unarmed black 18-year-old by a white officer.

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama is again speaking out on the situation in Ferguson, Missouri. He says the widespread mistrust of law enforcement that was exposed by the fatal police shooting of an unarmed black man is corroding all of America, not just its black communities. He tells the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation's annual awards dinner that there are significant racial disparities in the administration of justice.

SPRINGVILLE, Utah (AP) — Police say there's "no obvious sign of trauma or foul play" in a house where the bodies of a couple and three of their children were found near Provo, Utah. Authorities say the main focus is to determine the cause of death. The house was tested for carbon monoxide but none was found, though it could have already dissipated.
