CONWAY, S.C. (AP) — Alex Ross threw for 338 yards, including two touchdowns, and ran in a third to lead Coastal Carolina to a 31-3 win over Elon on Saturday.

Ross completed 34 of his 47 passes, including a pair of 10-yard TD throws to Bruce Mapp, and also was Coastal Carolina's top rusher with 88 yards on nine carries.

De'Angelo Henderson put the Chanticleers (5-0) on the board in the first quarter with a 9-yard touchdown run to take a lead that was never challenged, and added to his total offense with 90 yards on nine catches, but also had two of the team's three fumbles.

Coastal Carolina outgained Elon (1-3) in total offense 543 yards to 334, and improved its Big South leading home win streak to 11.

Mike Quinn was 20 of 37 for 232 yards for the Phoenix and Kierre Brown had 125 yards on five receptions.
