WASHINGTON (AP) — Kwashaun Quick threw two touchdown passes and had a receiving TD to lead North Carolina A&T past Howard 38-22 on Saturday.

Quick threw for 200 yards, including a 46-yard touchdown pass to Darren Bullock, to lead the Aggies. He also caught a 3-yard touchdown on a trick play from receiver Caleb Gabriel, but did not play in the second half because of an injury. True freshman Marquell Cartwright rushed for 139 yards and scored twice.

Howard (1-4, 0-1 MEAC) scored first on an 11-yard run by quarterback Greg McGhee, before the Aggies (4-1, 1-0) scored four consecutive touchdowns to take a 28-7 lead.

The Bison would cut the lead to 28-22 in the third, stringing together three straight scores, including an Aquanius Freeman 3-yard TD run and a short Justin Chainey TD reception.

McGhee led Howard with 237 yards passing and 101 yards rushing.
